IPad 3 is a lot better than Toshiba Encore, getting a 71.1 score against 56.2. IPad 3's design is thinner but way heavier than the Toshiba Encore. IPad 3 comes with iOS 6.1 OS, and Toshiba Encore counts with Windows 8.1 OS. The Toshiba Encore counts with a better CPU than iPad 3, because it has more cpu cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.
IPad 3 counts with a bit sharper screen than Toshiba Encore, because it has a larger screen, more pixels per inch in the display and a much better resolution of 1536 x 2048. Apple iPad 3 features a much better camera than Toshiba Encore, although it has a back-facing camera with lot less MP. The iPad 3 has much more memory capacity for games and applications than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory.
