Comparison review
The Apple iPad 4 is much better than the Toshiba Encore, getting a general score of 70.8 against 56.2. Apple iPad 4's design is a lot heavier but somewhat thinner than Toshiba Encore. Apple iPad 4 has iOS 7.x OS, and Toshiba Encore comes with Windows 8.1 OS. The Toshiba Encore counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Apple iPad 4, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM memory and a greater number of cores.
IPad 4 has a little bit better looking display than Toshiba Encore, because it has a bigger screen, a better pixels density and a much better 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution. IPad 4 features a very superior camera than Toshiba Encore, although it has a back-facing camera with way less MP resolution.
The Apple iPad 4 has a much bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory. Toshiba Encore and Apple iPad 4 count with very similar battery durations.
Apple iPad 4 costs a lot more money than Toshiba Encore, but you can get a much better tablet for that few extra dollars.
