Comparison review
The Asus VivoTab is slightly better than Toshiba Encore, with a 57.5 score against 56.2. Both of these tablets have Windows OS (Operating System), but the Asus VivoTab has an older 8 version and Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1 version. Asus VivoTab's body is way heavier but somewhat thinner than Toshiba Encore.
Toshiba Encore features a better looking display than Asus VivoTab, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a quite lower 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a higher amount of pixels per display inch. The Asus VivoTab has a bit better processing unit than Toshiba Encore, because although it has lesser 1.8 GHz CPU cores, and they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Asus VivoTab also counts with a graphics co-processor.
Asus VivoTab counts with much more storage capacity for apps and games than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal memory. Asus VivoTab captures a bit better videos and photos than Toshiba Encore. They have a same resolution back camera.
Asus VivoTab has a battery duration that's just as good as Toshiba Encore's battery life.
Although Asus VivoTab is a better device, it costs more money than Toshiba Encore, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Toshiba Encore. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Asus VivoTab, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Toshiba Encore, resigning some features and specs.
