Comparison review
The Asus VivoTab RT is a bit better than the Toshiba Encore, with a 61 score against 56.2. Both tablets we are comparing come with Windows OS (Operating System), but the Asus VivoTab RT has a newer RT version and Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance. Asus VivoTab RT is a heavier but a lot thinner tablet than the Toshiba Encore.
Toshiba Encore features a sharper display than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a way smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit higher quantity of pixels in each inch of screen. Asus VivoTab RT has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Toshiba Encore, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
The Toshiba Encore counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Asus VivoTab RT. Both of them have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Asus VivoTab RT takes much better pictures and videos than Toshiba Encore. They have a 8 mega pixels resolution back camera. Asus VivoTab RT's battery duration is just as good as the battery duration in Toshiba Encore.
The Asus VivoTab RT costs more money than Toshiba Encore, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
