Comparison review
Dell Venue 8 Pro is a bit better than the Toshiba Encore, having a overall score of 59.6 against 56.2. These tablets have Windows operating system, but the Dell Venue 8 Pro has a newer 8.1 Pro version and Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1 version. The Dell Venue 8 Pro body is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than Toshiba Encore.
The Toshiba Encore and the Dell Venue 8 Pro feature extremely similar screens, they have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, a display of the same size and a better quantity of pixels per screen inch. The Dell Venue 8 Pro's processing unit is very similar to the processor in Toshiba Encore, they have a Quad-Core processor and the same RAM amount.
Toshiba Encore takes slightly better videos and photos than Dell Venue 8 Pro, because it has a back-facing camera with a much higher resolution. Dell Venue 8 Pro features a much bigger storage for games and applications than Toshiba Encore, because it has 32 GB more internal memory capacity. The Dell Venue 8 Pro has a very superior battery lifetime than Toshiba Encore.
Although Dell Venue 8 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Toshiba Encore, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Toshiba Encore. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Dell Venue 8 Pro, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Toshiba Encore, giving up some features and specifications.
