Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a little bit better than Toshiba Encore, getting a 61.4 score against 56.2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) design is extremely heavier but a little thinner than Toshiba Encore. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1 operating system, and Toshiba Encore has Windows 8.1 operating system.
The Toshiba Encore has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a much smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, the Toshiba Encore also counts with a higher pixels density. The Toshiba Encore has a bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 24 GB more internal storage.
Toshiba Encore features a superior processing unit than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. Toshiba Encore features a little bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a way more mega pixels back facing camera. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has a much longer battery performance than Toshiba Encore.
Although Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Toshiba Encore, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Toshiba Encore. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Toshiba Encore, resigning a couple specifications.
