Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a little bit better than the Toshiba Excite 13, with a overall score of 58.1 against 55.4. Both tablets in this comparison use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has the older 3.0 version and Toshiba Excite 13 has Android 4.0 version. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is an older tablet than Toshiba Excite 13, but Samsung was able to make it extremely lighter and somewhat thinner anyway.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a slightly better screen than Toshiba Excite 13, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with a little bit better count of pixels in each inch of display. The Toshiba Excite 13 has a better performing CPU than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a greater number of cores.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 has as much memory capacity to install games and applications as the Toshiba Excite 13, and although the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has no external memory card slot, they both have exactly the same internal storage. Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a very superior battery duration than Toshiba Excite 13. The Toshiba Excite 13 takes a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a much better 1920x1080 video resolution and a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, Galaxy Tab 8.9 is also by far the cheapest one.
