Google Nexus 7 is slightly better than the Toshiba Excite 7.7, getting a 59.3 score against 54.2. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Google Nexus 7 has a more recent 5.1 version while Toshiba Excite 7.7 has Android 4.0 version. Google Nexus 7's design is somewhat lighter but extremely thicker than Toshiba Excite 7.7, and both were released only a couple months apart.
The Google Nexus 7 has a bit better looking display than Toshiba Excite 7.7, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better display pixel density and a bit higher 800 x 1280 resolution. The Google Nexus 7 features just a little better processing power than Toshiba Excite 7.7, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and the same RAM memory amount, the Google Nexus 7 also has an additional graphics co-processor.
Google Nexus 7's memory to install games and applications is just as good as the Toshiba Excite 7.7 one, and although the Google Nexus 7 has no external memory card slot, they both have the same 32 GB internal memory. The Google Nexus 7 counts with a very superior battery performance than Toshiba Excite 7.7.
