Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has newer 4.1 version and Toshiba Excite 7.7 has Android 4.0 version, providing the user lots of additional features.
Toshiba Excite 7.7 has a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a higher resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a little greater display density and a little bit larger screen. The Toshiba Excite 7.7 features a little faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Toshiba Excite 7.7 also counts with a larger number of cores (and they are faster).
The Toshiba Excite 7.7 has a bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 24 GB more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE takes just a bit better pictures and videos than Toshiba Excite 7.7, although it has a worse (HD) video quality and a camera with way less mega pixels.
