Asus VivoTab RT has a global score of 61, which is just a bit better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's global score of 57.6. Asus VivoTab RT works with Windows RT operating system, while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Asus VivoTab RT is better than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, we must highlight that it is also older, a little thicker and noticeably heavier.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a better display than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch in the screen and a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920. The Asus VivoTab RT features a better storage to store more apps and games than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a little bit better hardware performance than Asus VivoTab RT, because it has 1 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a much better battery duration than Asus VivoTab RT. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots much better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have a same resolution back camera, the same video frame rates and the same video quality, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a bigger camera aperture.
The Asus VivoTab RT is a bit more expensive than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
