Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has a general score of 62.7, which is slightly better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 overall score. Both of these tablets have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has the older 4.0 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Although it's the best in this review, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a incredibly older, somewhat thicker and heavier tablet than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit faster processor than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a higher number of 1500 MHz cores. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and a much better pixels count per screen inch.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a much greater memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has 8 GB more internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a superior battery performance than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because it has a 37% greater battery capacity.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a way better camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your money.
