Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has a general score of 60.8, which is a little bit better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's 57.6 score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has an older 4.1.2 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Although Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better portable tablet than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, we must highlight that it's also extremely older, extremely thicker and just a little heavier.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a lot better number of pixels per display inch, a quite bigger display and a way higher resolution of 1200 x 1920. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a better performing processing unit than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a higher number of cores and a larger amount of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus features a greater storage for games and applications than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a SD memory slot that holds up to 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a very superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a much better 8 MP resolution back-facing camera and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, because it has a 28% larger battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, giving up a couple features and specifications.
