The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is much better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, getting a 64.8 score against 57.6. Both tablets we compare here have Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the previous 4.0.4 version while Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a just a little bit lighter tablet device than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, but both are equally thin.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 counts with just a bit better looking screen than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a way lower pixels amount per display inch and a lot lower 800 x 1280 resolution. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM and a greater number of cores.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD counts with a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a much more MP back camera and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7's battery lifetime is very similar to the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD one.
Although Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
