The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an overall score of 58.1, which is just a bit better than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD's overall score of 57.6. Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9's body is extremely older, just a little thicker and noticeably heavier than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an older 3.0 version and Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a slightly better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better screen pixels density and a much higher resolution of 1200 x 1920. Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 6 more cpu cores.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a greater storage capacity for games and applications than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory capacity.
