Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has an overall score of 94.6, which is slightly better than iPhone 12's 88.7 overall score. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with Android 11 operating system, and iPhone 12 counts with iOS 15.x operating system. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 design is a little thinner but a lot heavier than iPhone 12, and both were released only 1 months apart.
The iPhone 12 has a bit superior CPU than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has an inferior number of 3.1 gigahertz cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a 64-bits CPU. The iPhone 12 counts with a more vivid display than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels and a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better pixels count per display inch.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 features much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPhone 12, because it has more internal memory. Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a much better battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 12, because it has a 4500mAh battery size. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 takes clearer photographs and videos than iPhone 12, although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for low light photography, they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rate, the same resolution back-facing camera and the same (4K) video resolution.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Apple iPhone 12, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Apple iPhone 12. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Z Fold 2, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Apple iPhone 12, letting go some specs and features.
