Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is slightly better than the iPhone 5, with a 76 score against 71.7. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and iPhone 5 works with iOS 7.x operating system. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a way heavier cellphone than iPhone 5, but both have the same thickness. The iPhone 5 has a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a lot worse resolution of 1136 x 640px, a little bit less pixels per display inch and a much smaller display.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 counts with a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than iPhone 5, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a quite better hardware performance than Apple iPhone 5, because it has 5,01 GB more RAM and a larger number of cores.

Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than iPhone 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the iPhone 5. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the iPhone 5, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
