IPhone 6 Plus has a general score of 80.4, which is a little bit better than HTC One M9's general score of 77.7. Although the iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One M9 were only released 6 months apart, iPhone 6 Plus's design is notably thinner but just a little heavier. The iPhone 6 Plus comes with iOS 8.x OS, and HTC One M9 counts with Android 5.0 OS.
HTC One M9 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Apple iPhone 6 Plus, and although they both have a 64 bits processor, the HTC One M9 also has a much better GPU, a larger number of faster cores and 2 GB more RAM. IPhone 6 Plus counts with a little bit better display than HTC One M9, because although it has a bit worse quantity of pixels per inch of screen, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, the iPhone 6 Plus also counts with a quite larger display.
Apple iPhone 6 Plus has a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The HTC One M9 features a superior camera than iPhone 6 Plus, and although they both have a same size aperture, the HTC One M9 also has a much more megapixels back camera, a much larger back-facing camera sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures and a way better video definition.
The iPhone 6 Plus counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 2915mAh battery size against 2840mAh.
Although iPhone 6 Plus is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC One M9. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy iPhone 6 Plus, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the HTC One M9, letting go a couple specifications.
