Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 is a bit better than the Asus ZenFone AR, with a global score of 78.3 against 77.4. The Xperia XZ1 is a a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner cellphone than Asus ZenFone AR, even though they were only released with a couple of months difference. Xperia XZ1 has a bit better processing power than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores.
Asus ZenFone AR has a bit better looking display than Xperia XZ1, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, a little bit higher pixels amount per inch of display and a little bit larger display. Asus ZenFone AR has a greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XZ1, and although they both have a SD extension slot that holds up to 1,95 TB, the Asus ZenFone AR also has 128 GB internal memory.
Asus ZenFone AR features greater battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a little bit better camera than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has a lower (4K) video resolution and a back camera with a worse 19 megapixels resolution, and they both have a same size aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting better quality videos and photos.
