Xperia 1 III is way better than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2), getting a 93.3 score against 71.6. The Xperia 1 III is a newer phone than the Asus ZenFone Max (M2), although it's a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier. Both of these devices use Android OS, but Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version and Asus ZenFone Max (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a bit more powerful processor than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a higher amount of RAM. Sony Xperia 1 III has a lot better looking display than Asus ZenFone Max (M2), because it has a quite bigger screen, a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 and a lot more pixels per inch of display.
