Asus ROG Phone 8 has an overall score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1)'s 73.1 score. These phones work with Android operating system, but Asus ROG Phone 8 has older 14 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) has Android 9.0 Pie. Even though Asus ROG Phone 8 is notably newer than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), it's a little bit thicker and a lot heavier.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a brighter screen than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because although it has a quite worse pixel density, it also counts with a little larger display, a really brighter display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a quite bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Asus ROG Phone 8, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1) counts with a much faster CPU than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Asus ROG Phone 8 shoots way better pictures and videos than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because it has a lot higher 7680x4320 video resolution, a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low light images and a back camera with a way better resolution.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a bit superior battery performance than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M1), because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity.
