The Xperia Z5 Premium has a score of 79.8, which is a bit better than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2)'s global score of 77.4. Both phones in our current comparison use Android operating system, but the Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version while Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Xperia Z5 Premium body is just a little thinner than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), although it is just a little bit heavier and was released many years before.

Xperia Z5 Premium features a little better performance than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics processor. Xperia Z5 Premium has a way better looking display than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way better resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a much better pixel density.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) has a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has more internal memory capacity and a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB. Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) features a much better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a much better camera than Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2), and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and a same size camera aperture, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a lot larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a camera in the back with way more megapixels.
