Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Google Nexus 5 has the newer 4.4.3 version and Fairphone 5 has Android 13. Even though Google Nexus 5 is extremely older than Fairphone 5, it's body is somewhat thinner and a lot lighter.
Fairphone 5 features a little better processing power than Google Nexus 5, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a higher amount of RAM. Google Nexus 5 counts with a little sharper display than Fairphone 5, although it has a much smaller screen, a way worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a just a bit worse quantity of pixels per screen inch.
Fairphone 5 has a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Google Nexus 5, because it has 256 GB internal storage. The Fairphone 5 features a superior camera than Google Nexus 5, because it has a much bigger camera aperture to capture better low light photos and videos, a way larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back facing camera with much more mega pixels.
The Fairphone 5 features a much better battery duration than Google Nexus 5, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 2300mAh.
