These phones work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Fairphone 5 has Android 13 version, providing you some nice extra features and performance tweaks. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Fairphone 5, because although it has a back facing camera with lot less mega-pixels and a much smaller back camera sensor shooting much worse quality photos and videos, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture.
