Google Nexus 6 has an overall score of 81.1, which is a bit better than the Xperia Z5's score of 77.6. The Google Nexus 6 is better than the Xperia Z5, we must tell that it is also an older, somewhat heavier and thicker cellphone. These phones use the same Android 5.1 operating system. The Google Nexus 6 counts with a little better processing power than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has lesser cpu cores (but faster), and they both have a 3 GB RAM, the Google Nexus 6 also counts with a better graphics co-processor.
The Xperia Z5 features a bit more vivid display than Google Nexus 6, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a way worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little bit worse pixel density. The Sony Xperia Z5 counts with a superior camera than Google Nexus 6, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a larger aperture to take better photos and videos in low light environments and a much higher 23 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
Xperia Z5 features a bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Google Nexus 6, because although it has 0 less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds up to 200 GB. The Google Nexus 6 features just a little better battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has 3220mAh of battery capacity.
Although Google Nexus 6 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Z5. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Google Nexus 6, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xperia Z5, letting go some features and specs.
