Google Pixel 2 is slightly better than Asus ZenFone AR, getting an 81.6 score against 77.4. Even though the Google Pixel 2 and the Asus ZenFone AR were released only a few months apart, the Google Pixel 2 is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner. Google Pixel 2 counts with a little better performance than Asus ZenFone AR, because although it has 2 GB less RAM, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores.
Asus ZenFone AR has a little bit better display than Google Pixel 2, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution, a just a bit higher pixel number per screen inch and a little bit bigger display. Asus ZenFone AR captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Google Pixel 2, because although it has lower video frame rate and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light captures, and they both have the same video definition and the same sensor size, the Asus ZenFone AR also counts with a lot better resolution camera.
The Asus ZenFone AR features longer battery lifetime than Google Pixel 2, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.
