Comparison review
The Google Pixel 4a 5G is a little bit better than Google Pixel 3 XL, with a global score of 87.5 against 80.7. Google Pixel 4a 5G is a noticeably newer and just a bit lighter phone than the Google Pixel 3 XL, although it is also just a little bit thicker. Google Pixel 3 XL features a CPU that is just as good as the Google Pixel 4a 5G one, and although the Google Pixel 3 XL has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Google Pixel 3 XL features a bit better display than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a little bigger display, a greater pixel density and a better 1440 x 2960 resolution. Google Pixel 4a 5G captures slightly better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3 XL, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a same size back camera sensor and a 12.2 MP resolution camera in the back, the Google Pixel 4a 5G also has a bigger aperture and better video frame rates.
The Google Pixel 4a 5G counts with a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has 64 GB more internal storage. Google Pixel 4a 5G has just a little better battery life than Google Pixel 3 XL, because it has a 13% greater battery size.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Google Pixel 3 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Pixel 3 XL. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Google Pixel 3 XL, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
