Google Pixel XL has a general score of 81.3, which is slightly better than the Google Nexus 6P's 80.3 score. The Google Pixel XL design is newer and just a little bit lighter than Google Nexus 6P's, but it is somewhat thicker. The Google Nexus 6P counts with a bit faster processing unit than Google Pixel XL, because although it has lesser RAM, it also counts with more cores.
Google Pixel XL and Google Nexus 6P both have very similar screens, because although the Google Nexus 6P has a just a bit lower pixel density, and they both have the same exact 1440 x 2560 resolution, it also counts with a quite larger display. The Google Nexus 6P counts with as much memory capacity for apps and games as Google Pixel XL, they have the same internal storage capacity.
Google Nexus 6P shoots clearer photographs and videos than Google Pixel XL. Both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the same video quality, a same size camera aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rates and a 0.43 inches sensor. Google Nexus 6P's battery performance is just as good as Google Pixel XL's battery life.
Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it costs more money than the Google Nexus 6P, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 6P. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Pixel XL, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Google Nexus 6P, letting go some features and specifications.
