Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than the HTC One (M8)'s general score of 71.9. Even though Huawei Mate 8 is heavier than the HTC One (M8), it's somewhat thinner and also newer. The HTC One (M8) counts with a little bit better performance than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processor.
HTC One (M8) features a more vivid screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1920 x 1080px resolution, the HTC One (M8) also counts with a just a bit better pixel density. The Huawei Mate 8 shoots better pictures and videos than HTC One (M8), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the same 60 frames per second video frame rate and the same aperture, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a back-facing camera with a much better 16 mega pixels resolution.
Huawei Mate 8 features a much better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One (M8), and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 96 GB more internal storage. Huawei Mate 8 features a way better battery life than HTC One (M8), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the HTC One (M8). If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get HTC One (M8), and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
