The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is a lot better than the HTC One (M8)'s 71.9 global score. Even though the Samsung Galaxy A42 is somewhat heavier than HTC One (M8), it's just a little bit thinner and incredibly newer. Both devices we are comparing include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy A42 has newer 11 version and HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, giving you some nice extra features and increased performance.
HTC One (M8) counts with a much more vibrant display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher pixels density and a better 1920 x 1080px resolution. The Galaxy A42 counts with a way bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC One (M8), because it has an external memory slot that admits up to 1000 GB and more internal memory capacity.
HTC One (M8) counts with a little faster processing unit than Galaxy A42, because although it has less cpu cores (although they are faster) and 2 GB less RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a very superior battery duration than HTC One (M8), because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 takes greater pictures and videos than HTC One (M8), because it has a bigger aperture, a camera in the back with a much better 48 mega-pixels resolution and a lot better video definition.
