The Galaxy S7 edge is a bit better than the HTC One (M8), getting a overall score of 78.1 against 71.9. The Galaxy S7 edge is a newer device, and it's also thinner and just a little bit lighter than HTC One (M8). Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S7 edge has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0 version, offering a couple nice extra features.

HTC One (M8) features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, although it has a bit smaller screen, a just a little worse display pixels density and a way lower resolution of 1920 x 1080. Galaxy S7 edge features just a bit bigger memory to store more apps and games than HTC One (M8), and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Galaxy S7 edge also has an external memory card slot that admits up to 200 GB.

The HTC One (M8) has a bit more powerful CPU than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the HTC One (M8) also counts with a graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a much better camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a larger back-facing camera sensor, a camera in the back with much more MP, a larger aperture for better low-light captures and a much better video quality.

The Galaxy S7 edge has a very superior battery lifetime than HTC One (M8), because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity against 2600mAh.

Galaxy S7 edge costs a bit more than the HTC One (M8), but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
