Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a general score of 94.6, which is a lot better than HTC One (M8)'s 71.9 global score. Galaxy Z Fold 2's construction is a lot newer and notably thinner, but notably heavier than the HTC One (M8). Both of these phones work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a more recent 11 version and HTC One (M8) has Android 5.0, so it gives you some nice extra features.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has just a bit better processing power than HTC One (M8), because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The HTC One (M8) features a better looking screen than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a way smaller screen and a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a little bit better amount of pixels in each inch in the screen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a superior memory for games and applications than HTC One (M8), because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a lot better camera than HTC One (M8), because it has a lot bigger camera sensor, a way higher 12 mega pixels resolution back facing camera, a larger camera aperture and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a much longer battery life than HTC One (M8), because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than HTC One (M8), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One (M8). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, else you can save some money and buy the HTC One (M8), resigning some features and specifications.
