The Galaxy S5 Plus is just a bit better than the HTC One M9, with a 78.1 score against 77.7. These phones come with Android operating system, but Galaxy S5 Plus has 4.4.2 version and HTC One M9 has Android 5.0. The Galaxy S5 Plus body is a little bit lighter and thinner than the HTC One M9, although they were only released with a couple months difference.
HTC One M9 counts with a little bit better display than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the HTC One M9 also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display. HTC One M9 has a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the HTC One M9 also has 16 GB more internal storage.
HTC One M9 features just a bit better performance than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a 64-bits processing unit, more RAM memory, 4 more processing cores and a much better graphics processor working at 600 MHz. The HTC One M9 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus both count with incredibly similar batteries performance, although the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a 1 percent smaller battery capacity.
The HTC One M9 counts with a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same video definition, a F2.2 aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also has a camera with more mega-pixels and a bigger sensor shooting higher quality videos and pictures.
Although Galaxy S5 Plus is a better device, it is more expensive than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One M9. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy S5 Plus, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC One M9, resigning some features and specs.
