Xperia XZ2 Premium is just a bit better than the HTC One M9, getting a global score of 82.2 against 77.7. The Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is a lot newer, but somewhat thicker and way heavier than the HTC One M9. The HTC One M9 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bit processor and a graphics co-processor.

Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much better looking screen than HTC One M9, because it has a much greater pixels quantity per inch of display, a lot higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a larger display. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a way bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One M9, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 400 GB and 64 GB internal storage.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium has longer battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 25 percent more battery size. Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots just a bit better photos and videos than HTC One M9, because although it has a worse video definition and a camera with a worse resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture and a larger back-facing camera sensor providing a better image quality.

Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC One M9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save some money and get the HTC One M9, letting go some specs and features.
