Sony Xperia 5 has a global score of 81, which is better than HTC One ME's 73.5 overall score. Even though the Sony Xperia 5 is just a little bit heavier than the HTC One ME, it's thinner and also notably newer. Xperia 5 features a superior hardware performance than HTC One ME, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and they are faster).
HTC One ME features a more vivid screen than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a higher display pixels density and a little bit higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. The Sony Xperia 5 features a superior camera than HTC One ME, because although it has a lower (4K) video definition, a tinier camera sensor taking worse quality photos and a camera with lot less mega-pixels, it also counts with a much larger aperture.
The Xperia 5 has a better storage to store more apps and games than HTC One ME, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 512 GB against 2 TB, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Xperia 5 counts with just a bit better battery performance than HTC One ME, because it has 3140mAh of battery capacity against 2840mAh.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One ME, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the HTC One ME. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy HTC One ME, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
