The Sony Ericsson Xperia ray has a global score of 53.7, which is just a bit better than HTC Salsa's score of 49.1. Although Sony Ericsson Xperia ray and the HTC Salsa were only released with a couple months difference, Sony Ericsson Xperia ray is a lot thinner and somewhat lighter. Both of these devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray has a more recent 4.0 version while HTC Salsa has Android 2.3.3, counting with some additional features and performance improvements.

Sony Ericsson Xperia ray has a little better hardware performance than HTC Salsa, although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, they both have a Single-Core processing unit and the same RAM memory amount.
