HTC Salsa Review

HTC Salsa is a mid-to-low level device launched some years ago, in 2011, which features a 800 MHz CPU, a medium 3.4" touch-screen, and two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front side camera. We will get a better idea about this device's pros when we get into specific details.

The HTC Salsa ships with a powerful CPU ticking at 800 MHz, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7227 chip and 512 MB RAM memory. Handling graphic intensive apps and games, this cellphone also has an Adreno 200 GPU speeding at 128 MHz. This phone counts with a 153,6 MB internal memory, a small quantity that may be adequate for basic users having that it also has a slot for external memory cards to store photos and videos and even some applications that allow external memory installation.

HTC appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 4.23 ounces phone.

The HTC Salsa has two cameras, a 5 megapixels back camera and a 0.3 mega-pixels front camera. To complete the camera, it also features flash and auto-focus.

This phone includes a nice 480 x 320 3.4-inches display, which makes all photos and movies look quite nice.

The HTC Salsa offers Wi-Fi capability (but it can't share it with other devices acting as a hotspot) and 3G fast internet connection, supported by HSDPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The HTC Salsa works with a SIM card for GSM networks.

This device counts with a 1520 mAh medium sized Li-Ion battery providing this cellphone with a quite short battery duration. HTC reports a 445 hs stand by time and a 9 hours talk time for this phone.

This cellphone also includes a couple of cool features as Bluetooth and GPS Navigation, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

The HTC Salsa costs around 250 dollars, which is a very high price for comparing with other similar cellphones.
