Panasonic ELUGA is a mid-to-low level phone launched many years ago, featuring a medium sized 4.3" touch-screen, a good performance Dual-Core processor speeding at 1 GHz and an 8 megapixels back camera.
This cellphone is powered by a TI OMAP4430 system chip, holding a great performance Dual-Core processing unit running at 1 gigahertz with 1 GB RAM. Graphic intensive applications and games usually uses lots of processing power, so this phone uses an additional PowerVR SGX540 GPU working at 304 megahertz to help handle those graphic tasks. This phone has an 8 GB quite large internal memory and while it doesn't include a slot for external memory cards, it should be enough to store a couple hundred applications and games, although it might not be enough if you are planning to install some of the largest games available nowadays.
This phone is available in two color options, black and gray. Being just 0.31 inches thick, the Panasonic ELUGA is very slim and comfortable. Though this phone only has 4.84" long, it's still able to fit a a 4.3" display. This cellphone is much lighter than what one would think about a cellphone this size.
Panasonic designed this cellphone with a interesting 4.3-inches screen, and a resolution of 960 x 540 , which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels in the screen. This screen uses AMOLED capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.
The Panasonic ELUGA is only equipped with an 8 megapixels back side camera. This phone also captures videos up to 1280x720 (HD). In addition, the camera has a couple of useful characteristics: digital image stabilization, auto-focus and geo tagging.
The Panasonic ELUGA includes WiFi connection (and it can be shared with other devices acting as a modem or router), 4G (HSPA+) connection type, that is not so fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and 3G fast internet connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks.
The Panasonic ELUGA also comes with a few cool characteristics like NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your phone close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth (2.1, EDR) and GPS, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.
This cellphone uses a 1150 mAh poor capacity Li-Ion replaceable battery that can keep this device running for some hours, although you will find yourself looking for a place to charge it even after moderate usage. According to Panasonic, this phone has an aproximate talk time of 4 hours and a stand by time of 300 hours.
The Panasonic ELUGA is not very convinient considering it is offerred for 125 dollars, while some similar cellphones cost much less than that.
