HTC U11 life counts with just a bit more memory for applications and games than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a superior battery life than HTC U11 life, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 2600mAh. HTC U11 life takes clearer photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a back facing camera with a 16 mega pixels and a same size aperture, the HTC U11 life also has a lot better video definition.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HTC U11 life, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC U11 life. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 8, else you can save some dollars and get the HTC U11 life, giving up a couple specifications.
