The Huawei Mate 20 is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, getting a 79.5 score against 78.2. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate 20 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi 9T has Android 10 version, so it provides the user a couple additional features and optimized performance. Even though the Huawei Mate 20 is incredibly older than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, it's design is a bit lighter and thinner.
Huawei Mate 20 features a little bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, although it has a just a bit worse screen pixel density and a little worse 1080 x 2244 resolution, they both have a screen of the same size. Xiaomi Redmi 9T features more storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi 9T. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM and 8 processing cores. The Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the same video frame rates and the same aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi 9T also has a much better 48 MP resolution back facing camera and a larger sensor which offers a higher image and video quality.
Xiaomi Redmi 9T features a way better battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 50% bigger battery size.
