The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has a global score of 90.5, which is better than the Moto G9 Play's score of 76.7. Although Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G and the Moto G9 Play were released only a couple months apart, Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is a little bit thinner and a bit lighter. Both phones in this review work with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding OS features.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has a more vivid screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a same size screen, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G also has a lot more pixels per inch of display and a way higher 1176 x 2400 resolution. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G features a bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Moto G9 Play, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G counts with a bit better processing power than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G also has 4 GB more RAM. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G takes clearer photographs and videos than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a worse 40 MP resolution back facing camera, and they both have a 0.59 inches back camera sensor, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G also counts with a bigger camera aperture and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
