Huawei Mate X is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 2, with an 89.4 score against 81.6. The Huawei Mate X body is much newer than Google Pixel 2's, although it's incredibly thicker and a lot heavier. The Google Pixel 2 and Huawei Mate X feature quite similar screens, because although the Google Pixel 2 has a way lower 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch.
The Huawei Mate X has a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Google Pixel 2, because it has 384 GB more internal memory. The Huawei Mate X has a little bit better processing power than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate X also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Huawei Mate X features a really longer battery life than Google Pixel 2, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 2700mAh. The Google Pixel 2 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much smaller camera sensor taking less light and dull colors and a much lower 12.2 mega-pixels resolution camera, they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Pixel 2. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy the Google Pixel 2, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
