Comparison review
Huawei Mate X is better than Huawei P40 Lite, having an 89.4 score against 79.5. Even being the best phone in our current comparison, we must highlight that it's also noticeably heavier and much thicker. Both devices in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate X has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei P40 Lite has Android 10, providing a couple additional features.
The Huawei Mate X features a bit faster processor than Huawei P40 Lite, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X also has 2 GB more RAM memory. Huawei Mate X features just a bit better looking screen than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has a just a bit more pixels per display inch, a bigger screen and a much better 2200 x 2480 resolution.
Huawei Mate X has a much greater storage for applications and games than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has more internal storage. The Huawei P40 Lite has a very superior camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor which provides a worse image and video quality, and they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a higher 48 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera.
The Huawei Mate X has just a little bit longer battery life than Huawei P40 Lite, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4200mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P40 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P40 Lite. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Huawei P40 Lite, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
