Huawei Mate X is much better than the OnePlus 8 UW, getting an 89.4 score against 75.9. The Huawei Mate X body is thicker and much heavier than OnePlus 8 UW. Both phones we are comparing work with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version while OnePlus 8 UW has Android 10.
OnePlus 8 UW features a little sharper display than Huawei Mate X, although it has a way lower 1080 x 2400 resolution, a little smaller display and a just a bit worse display density. OnePlus 8 UW counts with a little better hardware performance than Huawei Mate X. Both of them have the same number of cores and a 8 GB RAM memory.
The OnePlus 8 UW counts with a lot better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor shooting lower quality videos and images, and they both have the same camera aperture, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a back facing camera with a higher resolution. The Huawei Mate X features a lot bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 384 GB more internal memory.
The Huawei Mate X features a bit better battery life than OnePlus 8 UW, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than OnePlus 8 UW, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as OnePlus 8 UW. If you prefer to save some money, you can get OnePlus 8 UW, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
