Samsung Galaxy M40 is a bit better than Huawei P Smart (2020), having a general score of 85 against 77.5. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version while Huawei P Smart (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy M40 design is just a little thinner than Huawei P Smart (2020), although it's a little bit heavier and was released just 11 months before.
The Huawei P Smart (2020) and the Galaxy M40 count with very similar displays, because although the Galaxy M40 has a just a bit lower pixel density, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it also counts with a bit bigger screen. The Huawei P Smart (2020) and the Galaxy M40 feature similar memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD memory slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Samsung Galaxy M40 has a processing unit that is just as good as the Huawei P Smart (2020) one, and although the Samsung Galaxy M40 has more RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores. Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with a bit longer battery life than Huawei P Smart (2020), because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity.
The Galaxy M40 shoots better pictures and videos than Huawei P Smart (2020), because it has a much higher 32 MP resolution camera, a lot better video resolution and a bigger aperture for better captures in low light environments.
