The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is much better than the Huawei P20 Pro, getting a global score of 90.9 against 81.4. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's design is noticeably newer than the Huawei P20 Pro's, but it is somewhat heavier and thicker. Both devices in this review use the same Android 10 OS, so they should count with all the same OS features.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit sharper display than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a little bit larger screen, a just a bit more pixels per screen inch and a higher resolution of 1334 x 2772.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a superior storage for games and applications than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal memory. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro counts with a bit better camera than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also counts with a way larger sensor which provides a way better image and video quality, a better resolution back camera and faster video frame rates.
