Huawei P20 Pro has a general score of 81.4, which is slightly better than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play's 77.4 global score. Although Huawei P20 Pro is newer than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, it's way thicker and heavier. The Huawei P20 Pro features a bit more vivid display than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a just a little higher pixels number per display inch, a little larger screen and a slightly better 1080 x 2240 resolution.
Huawei P20 Pro has a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei P20 Pro also has more RAM. The Moto Z2 Play has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Huawei P20 Pro takes way better videos and photos than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for low-light captures, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a camera with a way better 40 mega pixels resolution.
The Huawei P20 Pro features superior battery life than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
Although Huawei P20 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z2 Play. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Moto Z2 Play, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
