Samsung Galaxy S8 is just a bit better than the Huawei P20 Pro, with a global score of 81.7 against 81.4. Samsung Galaxy S8 is a somewhat lighter cellphone than the Huawei P20 Pro, but both of them are equally thin. Huawei P20 Pro features a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a little sharper display than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and a greater pixel density. The Huawei P20 Pro counts with a better camera than Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for taking photos in low-light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a back facing camera with lot more megapixels and a way larger back-facing camera sensor taking way better quality videos and photographs.
