Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ3 has a score of 79.6, which is a bit better than the Huawei P20's 78.1 general score. Both of these phones have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (Operating System). Even being the best device in this comparison, Sony Xperia XZ3's construction is somewhat heavier and notably thicker than the Huawei P20.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with just a bit better performance than Huawei P20. They have 4 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processor. The Xperia XZ3 features a more vivid display than Huawei P20, because it has a quite bigger screen, a better resolution of 1440 x 2880px and more pixels per display inch. Xperia XZ3 has more storage capacity for apps and games than Huawei P20, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Xperia XZ3 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei P20, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photos and video in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, a 0.43 inches back-facing camera sensor and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with a back camera with a way higher resolution.
The Huawei P20 has a bit better battery performance than Xperia XZ3, because it has a 2% larger battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei P20. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia XZ3, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P20, resigning some features and specifications.
