Comparison review
Xperia 5 II is a bit better than Huawei P30, with a overall score of 87.2 against 81.7. The Xperia 5 II design is newer and a little lighter, but also just a little bit thicker than the Huawei P30. The Xperia 5 II features just a little better hardware performance than Huawei P30, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Xperia 5 II has a little sharper display than Huawei P30, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia 5 II also has a little higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a quite better display pixels density. Huawei P30 has a slightly better camera than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not good for low light captures and slower video frame rate, and they both have a 0.59 inches camera sensor and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P30 also counts with a camera in the back with lot more megapixels.
The Sony Xperia 5 II has much more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P30, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Xperia 5 II features a little longer battery lifetime than Huawei P30, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P30, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei P30. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5 II, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Huawei P30, resigning a couple features and specifications.
