The Huawei P40 Lite has a general score of 79.5, which is slightly better than Huawei Mate 20 lite's score of 76.2. Huawei P40 Lite's construction is newer, but somewhat thicker and a little heavier than Huawei Mate 20 lite. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 Lite has an older 10 version while Huawei Mate 20 lite has Android 8.1 Oreo.
Huawei P40 Lite counts with a little faster CPU than Huawei Mate 20 lite, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei P40 Lite also has more RAM memory. Huawei Mate 20 lite features a screen that is very similar to the display in Huawei P40 Lite, because although the Huawei Mate 20 lite has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a just a bit higher pixel density.
Huawei Mate 20 lite features a greater memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei P40 Lite, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. Huawei P40 Lite takes much better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because although it has slower video frame rates, and they both have a same size camera aperture and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei P40 Lite also counts with a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
The Huawei P40 Lite features a bit superior battery duration than Huawei Mate 20 lite, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity against 3750mAh.
